Who am I?
My name is Fabian and I am currently based in Darmstadt, Hessia in Germany. I started this blog during my time in Donostia-San Sebastián, a beautiful city in the Basque Autonomous Community in Spain. I study Cognitive Science and am interested in all things concerning the human mind and brain. But in fact, I can be enthusiastic about almost any topic that crosses my path. Getting to know new people and their ways of life is one of my favorite things to do. In my free time, I like to do Yoga, Meditation and I am also a passionate Lindy Hop dancer. Lately, I have discovered Surfing as a new sport and by now am searching for an opportunity to continue this sport while living in the inland. Furthermore, I am a barefoot enthusiast: running, walking and barefooting in general!
What is this blog about?
First and foremost, this blog is basically an attempt to organize all the craziness going on in my mind. I often find that I have the best ideas when I am trying to communicate my impressions and views of the world to other people. But to be able to do that, the vague stream of thoughts in my mind has to be structured and wrapped into the right words. To spare my listeners from having to bear even more of my talking (Yes, I sometimes happen to talk a lot…) this is supposed to be the place where I clearly and pregnantly formulate what I think. The best part about this is that I now hope to have an easier time in real conversations and most importantly receive the amazing inputs from other people. Additionally to that, I will try to include some travel pictures and stories.
Why in English?
Honestly, I don’t really know. As I am from Germany my mother tongue is not English, but I feel like I can reach more people I know and will get to know in this way. In the future, I might provide German translations, but for now, English it is. If you want to contact me feel free to use any of the languages I speak (German, Hungarian, English, and Spanish).
